Mercato Centrale at BGC has landed…in a better location!

Mercato has been the birthplace of many new food vendors who have carved their own niche in the local food industry, which include Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Merry Moo, Shawarma Bros, Spring by
Ha-‐Yuan, Sunrise Buckets, Brasas, Angry Puffs and Kristina’s Inutak among others. And now the Mercato Centrale food dining experience that we loved for over five years has moved to better location in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig!

Mercato Centrale is now at the corner of 7th avenue and 25th street, across The Forum and in front of the “Between the Lines” art mural (known more popularly as ‘The Spaceman’ by the art duo Cyrcle from Los Angeles). The new Mercato venue continues to offer your old--‐time favorites like Auntie May’s signature Angus Beef Tapa, Cuisiners’ pork barbeque that was judged by Chowzter Asia 2015 Awards as Asia’s tastiest regional specialty and Don Churros – that topped the Spot.ph’s list of Top 10 Churros in Manila!

Meanwhile, you can also enjoy new Mercato food finds like East Meets West’s Bagnet Burger, the Oinkery’s smoked and slow--‐cooked pulled pork and Bakmi Nyonya’s Chinese--‐Indonesian street food noodle dishes that won the 2014 Next Big Food Entrepreneur contest!

Satisfy your cravings at Mercato in Bonifacio Global City every Friday and Saturday, 6pm‐3am. With the awesome Spaceman mural as your background, take in some art and culture, enjoy the music and good company and enjoy culinary adventures with amazing and unique food finds curated from the city’s best home- ‐based food entrepreneurs.

Freeway Art: Filipino Master Collector's Series

Freeway, considered as one of the most innovative of local brands, is proud to present its latest historical collection. With its breakthrough National Artist Collector’s Series, the works of the country's most revered National Artists are immortalized through its fashion collection.

For this Holiday, Freeway held an event last October 10, 2013 at the Lopez Memorial Museum in Pasig City. Freeway chose to honor a man whose works of art have stood the test of time and whose masterpieces still continue to live on in the hearts of many. This man is none other than Juan Luna, Filipino Master for Visual Arts.

It was definitely a grand fusion of art and fashion as the event was attended by several prominent figures from both ends such as fashion bloggers, art enthusiasts, critics, media and many more. Of course, the celebration of Juan Luna wouldn't be complete without the works of Juan Luna himself.

During the event, we were able to view his masterpieces inside the museum and the other Filipino Artists’ masterpieces. But the real highlight of the event was the exclusive fashion show! Guests including us were able to catch a glimpse of the first ever Filipino Masters Collector’s Series Juan Luna Collection as the 24 piece debut collection was unveiled, including a few shirts for men. The fashion show showcased highlight famous Luna pieces such as El Flautista, I am Cold, Una Dama Francesca, Espana y Filipinas, Fencing Positions, Rice Harvesting, Various Subjects and A Roman. Models worked the runway in shoes from Janilyn for the ladies and were glammed up by Piandre Salon for their hair and VMV Hypoallergenics for their make-up.

Truly, the event was something to remember not only historically but also an appreciation for fashion as Freeway shared another superb and historical figure for the entire art and fashion society to see.
