Mercato Centrale at BGC has landed…in a better location!

Mercato has been the birthplace of many new food vendors who have carved their own niche in the local food industry, which include Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Merry Moo, Shawarma Bros, Spring by
Ha-‐Yuan, Sunrise Buckets, Brasas, Angry Puffs and Kristina’s Inutak among others. And now the Mercato Centrale food dining experience that we loved for over five years has moved to better location in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig!

Mercato Centrale is now at the corner of 7th avenue and 25th street, across The Forum and in front of the “Between the Lines” art mural (known more popularly as ‘The Spaceman’ by the art duo Cyrcle from Los Angeles). The new Mercato venue continues to offer your old--‐time favorites like Auntie May’s signature Angus Beef Tapa, Cuisiners’ pork barbeque that was judged by Chowzter Asia 2015 Awards as Asia’s tastiest regional specialty and Don Churros – that topped the Spot.ph’s list of Top 10 Churros in Manila!

Meanwhile, you can also enjoy new Mercato food finds like East Meets West’s Bagnet Burger, the Oinkery’s smoked and slow--‐cooked pulled pork and Bakmi Nyonya’s Chinese--‐Indonesian street food noodle dishes that won the 2014 Next Big Food Entrepreneur contest!

Satisfy your cravings at Mercato in Bonifacio Global City every Friday and Saturday, 6pm‐3am. With the awesome Spaceman mural as your background, take in some art and culture, enjoy the music and good company and enjoy culinary adventures with amazing and unique food finds curated from the city’s best home- ‐based food entrepreneurs.

New Branch plus New Foods from Ginza Bairin

One thing we love from Japanese food is their authentic dishes with touch of their culture. Japanese has their own way of creating recipes that are truly delicious. Another thing we love from them is their critically-acclaimed Katsudon often hailed as the no.1 Donburi in Japan. Talking about Katsudon, Ginza Bairin of Tokyo is one of the pioneers of the modern Japanese Katsu house as we know it.

Ginza Bairin fever is definitely reaching all-new heights with delicious new dishes that stay true to its Japanese roots, as well as its second store in the Philippines. “We are truly grateful for the very warm reception. Due to popular demand, we are very happy to expand to the north of Manila to allow more access and enjoyment of our delicious katsu,” said Scott Tan, Managing Director of Ginza Bairin. “We’re glad to give a taste of Japan right here in Metro Manila.”

Diners can enjoy the incomparable Ginza Bairin authentic katsu in a variety of delicious ways. First, as tonkatsu, or pork cutlet; second, as Katsu Sando, an original Ginza Bairin creation of crisp hire katsu sandwiched between soft, freshly baked bread, and seasoned with two special sauces; and third, as Special Katsudon, often hailed "Number One Donburi in Japan."

And now you can enjoy their newest food items that will surely love by your taste buds. These are:

For Appetizer:

Chawan Mushi- an appetizer of silky, savory egg custard with seafood

Kani Mango Salad- a medley of kani, ripe mango, mixed greens,
fresh tomato, and ebiko (prawn roe) with Japanese mayo

Hiyayakko Tofu, a traditional Japanese appetizer of cold silken tofu
with a variety of toppings

Main Dishes:

Premium Seafood Set which feature succulent Hiroshima oyster, jumbo US Sea Scallop, Black Tiger Prawn, and the luxurious Kani Cream Korokke (made of crab meat and cream) all prepared in the ethereally crisp Ginza Bairin way:

Menchi, juicy premium ground pork seasoned with choice ingredients. Appreciate this delectable creation as is, or try it with the rich addition of creamy Cheddar cheese:

For the vegetarians, the delightfully fresh and hearty Vegetarion Kushi Katsu has eggplant, green capsicum, pumpkin, sweet onion, and quail egg in skewers and fried to a delicate lightness and drizzled with a delightful mirin sauce:

Enjoy all of these with diners’ favorite Ginza Bairin Teishoku, which elevates the concept of set meal with endless enjoyment of Japanese Koshihikari rice, fresh cabbage salad and dressings, miso soup, seasonal tsukemono (Japanese pickles), and genmaicha (Japanese brown rice tea). All teishoku also include a serving of seasonal fresh fruit.

For a refreshing drink, try Ginza Bairin's new Watermelon Mint Shake, combining the sweetness of watermelon and the freshness of mint:

You can also enjoy the new Matcha Vanilla Panna Cotta- green tea with a creamy vanilla custard and a touch of delightful citrus:
