UNO Magazine Special Release: The Mocha Girls!

Sexy is not just being sexy. There is more than skin deep attraction, daring, and flesh beauty. And that’s what Mocha Girls wants to prove.

This pop all-girl has seen its share of beautiful faces come and go, but one thing that has remained constant is the founder and the person who lent her name to the group, ringleader Mocha Uson.

Mocha says what keeps the group going is the drive to reinvent itself. The current members minus Mochas were not there when Mocha Girls started seven years ago. But Mae, Franz, Seika, Georgina, Jhane with Mocha have found a way to use each other’s strengths and complement these to form a cohesive, well- oiled pop group that thrives on reinvention.

In this issue of UNO Magazine, the ultimate guide for men in the Philippines, readers and Mocha Girls will be treated to a very visual feast of the girls in different titillating poses. And lots of skin bared too.

And the surprise bonus? The issue contains a free calendar inside, featuring, of course, the Mocha Girls. Go ahead; treat yourself to a dose of Mocha and her girls. It’s gonna be well worth it to find out what gets these six ladies going, moving, and rising up.

UNO Magazine is available in all leading bookstores and magazine stands nationwide. For more information, visit www.unomagazine.com.ph. You can also like their facebook page: UNOmagazine, follow them on twitter: @UNOmag and Instagram: UNOmagazine.

Hands Down, Sir John!

This semester we have a subject called Sociology, a minor subject in our curriculum. According to the outline course, our discussion will focus in the society and other social interactions. But I never thought this subject will caught my attention. Not only because of the topics related in Sociology but also because of our 'jaw-dropped' professor. He's one of a kind, talented and intelligent.

Mr. John Nicer Abletis from Quezon City, our professor in Sociology, was indeed a good mentor in terms of this subject. I can't explain why my two ears are very attentive when he's discussing in front of our class. He knows everything! He's vocal, simple, and open minded. He doesn't mind if his words are foul, he's just being true to himself. Sir John was so cool!

Last meeting, Mr. Abletis discussed about our Father of Modern Sociology, Emil Durkheim. But we never stay on the biography of this social psychologist and philosopher, instead, he discussed everything related to him. His books, criticism, arguments and so on.

What I like most with this professor is that he's simple, wearing shirt and jeans. But his knowledge was too wide and immense. He is like a walking encyclopedia!

I'm so happy to have this professor, he feeds me intellectual things. So, hands down sir John! You're the man!

Just Follow Your Dreams

We all have dreams. We dream of something better for our life and we want those dreams to come true. But not all of us get what we want. Failures come and dreams go.

They say opportunities knock only once and if you don’t grab it then it was all gone. But what’s wrong with trying? We can still grab those opportunities the way we want it. Just keep on believing that we can still reach our dreams.

Before I went to college, I was in the midst of my hesitation on what course I will take. I dream of being a reporter and a journalist someday. But life turns me upside down; it drives me to a course that I never dreamt of. That is, being a marketer. I know it’s a good course but still, I miss things connected to journalism.

After three years of being a marketer, something went on and changes everything. I got hooked on doing blogs and right now joining contests that include multimedia presentations. These things are all related to the course that I love! Maybe it’s a sign but after one year, I can be a professional marketer. So, I just continued my course and do things what makes me happy.

Right now, our section was facing to a competition entitled: “UST 2013 AdverCom Video Making Contest”. We are representing our school and we really want to do our best to prove that PUP can also compete to the prestigious schools in Manila.

In this competition, all of us should have an advertising video for our partner company which is ULOAD. ULOAD is a fun new way for Pinoys to reload their cellphones and gaming credits. ULOAD has more than 2,000 units deployed nationwide and growing each and every day.

Maybe this is a sign that failed dream can be a dream again. And this dream will be mine someday.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Céleteque DermoScience Hair & Scalp Care Clarifying Shampoo Keeps You from Bad Hair Days

Bad Hair Days keep us from 'Beauty through out the day'. We are very conscious about our hair. We also get irritated even in shortest strand when it does not falls out to our desired style. But no more worries because Céleteque DermoScience gives you special care for your hair and scalp with its new clarifying shampoo.

The Céleteque DermoScience Hair & Scalp Care Clarifying Shampoo is a once-a-week wash that helps get rid of residue buildup on your scalp. Using this shampoo once a week will unclog follicles to allow fresh moisture and nutrients to penetrate hair cuticles.

Residue buildup is caused by constantly using hair care products such as shampoos, conditioners, gels, waxes, hair polishes and sprays. These products combined with excess oil and dirt on the scalp, can cause clogged hair cuticles, which may lead to dry and brittle hair. It also makes hair dull, greasy, feel heavy and difficult to manage because residue buildup prevents your roots from absorbing nutrients.

It’s time you pay more attention to your scalp and clarify your hair once a week with the Céleteque DermoScience Hair & Scalp Care Clarifying Shampoo.

A Secret Garden Has Been Spotted

Last November 16, 2013, we went to Secret Garden in Novaliches, Quezon City for my aunt’s wedding preparation place. It was indeed a secret garden because it was very far from the civilization. But when you’re there, it’s perfect! Very relaxing and lovely place! You will feel the “paradise mood” when you are there.

One thing I love when I entered the place was that, it was very quiet. All you can hear is the sound of the birds chirping around. The trees, plants and decorations are also perfect for the place.

When we entered the house, the first thing you will notice is the information area. The interior is great too! It is a woodland concept.

We went to the room where my aunt was. I didn't expect that the room was too big. I think it is only for 4 people according to their rates but I think, 4 to 6 people can still be accommodated.

As I exploring around, I took some pictures of their nature- loving interior designs and decorations. I was amazed and stress-relieved by the scenic attractions that they have.

Secret garden is located at 8 Seiko st. Interville 3, 1117 Quezon City, Philippines opens from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm daily.

If you want to know more about Secret Garden’s facilities, rates and other information, you may call 9358195 or you may visit their website: http://www.secretgarden.ph. You can also email them at

One thing we love from Japanese food is their authentic dishes with touch of their culture. Japanese has their own way of creating recipes that are truly delicious. Another thing we love from them is their critically-acclaimed Katsudon often hailed as the no.1 Donburi in Japan. Talking about Katsudon, Ginza Bairin of Tokyo is one of the pioneers of the modern Japanese Katsu house as we know it.

Ginza Bairin fever is definitely reaching all-new heights with delicious new dishes that stay true to its Japanese roots, as well as its second store in the Philippines. “We are truly grateful for the very warm reception. Due to popular demand, we are very happy to expand to the north of Manila to allow more access and enjoyment of our delicious katsu,” said Scott Tan, Managing Director of Ginza Bairin. “We’re glad to give a taste of Japan right here in Metro Manila.”

Diners can enjoy the incomparable Ginza Bairin authentic katsu in a variety of delicious ways. First, as tonkatsu, or pork cutlet; second, as Katsu Sando, an original Ginza Bairin creation of crisp hire katsu sandwiched between soft, freshly baked bread, and seasoned with two special sauces; and third, as Special Katsudon, often hailed "Number One Donburi in Japan."

with a variety of toppings
